5 Scientific Interest Groups
Albatros
Alliance of Bordeaux Universities and Thales Research in Avionics
In keeping with the Bordeaux university centre strategy, Thales sought to reinforce its strategy cooperation with higher education and research.
Themes: Remotely operated and autonomous systems for avionics and mission suites/ Man-system interaction and augmented reality/ Signal and image/Electronic architecture.
Leaders: Thales Airborne Systems - Thales Avionics - Bordeaux INP - Arts et Métiers ParisTech - University of Bordeaux - CNRS - INRIA
Laboratoires sous tutelle Bordeaux INP impliqués : IMB, IMS, LaBRI
Chimiothèque Nationale
Since 2003, the National Chemical Library's (CN) main mission has been to group together collections of synthetic products, natural compounds and natural extracts that exist in public French laboratories and promote scientific and industrial applications.
Leader: CNRS
Bordeaux INP-affiliated laboratory involved: UMR OENO
HEAD
High Energies in Additive Manufacturing
The Scientific Interest Group (GIS) dedicated to high-energy additive manufacturing processes (HEAD) was officially established in early September 2021. It brings together a group of academic partners to overcome specific technological hurdles and facilitate the integration of additive manufacturing into the industrial sector.
Leader: CNRS
Bordeaux INP-affiliated laboratory involved: I2M
NAASC
Nouvelle-Aquitaine Academic Space Center
The NAASC is an association of higher education institutions in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, which provide training for the civil and military space field.
Its main objectives:
- Stimulate innovation by involving students in inter-institutional collaborative projects, while allowing them to discover the strategic importance of space transportation as well as the high technological level of the products and the quality of our industrial tool.
- To stimulate the industrial aspect by developing initial and continuing education modules for space transportation.
- To promote intergenerational dynamics and vocations by creating a place for meeting, sharing and working between industrialists, academics and students, a real showcase for the aerospace industry.
